Did you check Snopes?

Do you know what Snopes is?  http://www.snopes.com is a great stop when you find, watch, hear, or have emailed to you, unbelievable things.  For example, I remember this one floating around for a while:

Boeing-797

Or this one….

ZOMG!! We're all going to DIE!!

ZOMG!! We're all going to DIE!!

While these are just quick visual examples, there are tons of urban myths out there, and it is important that you not be duped by them.

Look, I understand it’s difficult to receive information from a person or entity you trust and question the validity, but perpetuating bad information is just as bad, or worse, than believing it yourself.  The healthcare debate is another example, where the so-called “death panels” still continue to push through common discourse and that had all the right-wing nut jobs freaking out.  You LIE!  It’s bogus and even Snopes knows it.

No matter how you slice it, living under its grasp, perpetuating it unduly, ruling by it, or gaining the upper hand with it, FEAR SUCKS.  Stop it!

Apparently, Snopes doesn’t like people linking to their photos. Meh.
